First look at the templates that are available to be checked out!

Good evening,

Well, I am happy to see that folks are stopping in and reading about the lending library, please feel free to say hi while you are here!

I promised I would post pictures of the templates that are currently in the library, so here they are. I will write just a little about each one, but if you have questions please don't be shy, ask I promise I will do my very best to answer any and all template related questions!
#A 46
5 Pointed Star
You can do one star or start from the center and work you way out, I have a cute little quilt I did a "star burst" on and it turned out wonderful. I have a short arm machine and am able to do 5 stars before I run out of room. (this template does not show up on the doodling designs website, please email Sue to let her know if you wish to order this template)
#A 28
Butterflies and Grass
The Butterfly is 4" tall and 6" wide across the broadest part of the wings.

I call this one Leaves, Star and Snowflake, this design is so new it does not have a number yet!

#A 2
Spirals
I love this template it makes wonderful perfect spirals. I used this on a baby quilt, the blocks were only 4 inches and it looked like little lollipops! Super easy to use, drop your needle in the center of you block, line the center of the spiral up under your stylus, drop the stylus in the center, and follow the groove, you stop when you either run out of space on your block or throat space on your machine!

#A 20
Suns
Each sun is approximately 5 inches it's widest.
#A 53
8 Pointed Star
Just like it's little brother the 5 pointed star, this makes a beautiful star burst pattern! I am very fond of this template!
(this template does not show up on the doodling designs website, please email Sue to let her know if you wish to order this template)

#A 51
I do not have a name for this one either, I have used this design on a horse quilt, it make kind of a flowerish design, very nice!
The top design is 4 1/2" across at it's sides, the bottom design is 3.5" tall and 7" wide.
(this template does not show up on the doodling designs website, please email Sue to let her know if you wish to order this template)

#A 44
Stacked Hearts
This pattern can be used much like the star patterns, either pick a size or layer them. I used this on a cute little pink minkee baby blanket, using red thread, OH MY GOSH it is the prettiest thing ever!!! I will post some examples of the templates in days to come!
#A 35
Corner Tulips
The leaves on this design measure 5.5" x 5.5" and the Tulips design measures 6" square, these would be good for a longer arm machine than what I have!

#A 43

Dragonfly and Flower

I used the dragonfly as a boarder on a cute little garden quilt I did, I have not used the flower, but did play with it when I first got it, I could have really used the flower when I made my daughters quilt last year!

Well folks there you have it, these are the first templates in the lending library. Please contact me if you are interested in joining!

Have a wonderful evening, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome to the lending library

Good morning,
This blog has been started to help answer any questions you may have regarding the Doodling Designs -Ginny's Quilts lending library.
In up coming days I will be adding pictures and content on how you can become a member of the lending library.
I feel this is a wonderful opportunity for long arm and short arm frame quilters to use and experiment with the Doodling Designs quilt templates.

From personal experience these are some of the nicest and easiest templates to use, they are versatile and almost goof proof with a very short learning curve!

To make things even nicer Art and Sue, owners and makers of the Doodling Designs Templates are some of the nicest people in the world to do business with!

So stay tuned and I will break down how the Lending Library works....

1) You can purchase a template of your choice, add the template to the library, then you are welcome to check out any of the templates of your choice! The more templates you add to the library the more you can check out, it is an equal numbers system!

If at any time your choose to end your membership, simply notify me, your lovely librarian and I will send you your templates. Please be aware that this could take a few weeks if your template has been checked out by another member.

I will maintain a data base with ownership information and check out and returns of templates.
We are asking that you check out a template for no longer than 30 days.

You will be responsible for loss or damage to the templates you check out.
As a Library member you will be responsible for shipping the template both ways.
I will have a pay pal account set up to handle shipping costs.

So why become a member of the Doodling library? Well that's easy, quick and easy access to a wide variety of templates! You could pay hundreds of dollars for a limited number of templates or you could pay a little for all that are in the library!

I do have one other suggestion. In order to use these templates I highly recommend a Doodling Designs stylus, I will provide a picture of one and how I have mine attached to my quilt frame. If you already have a stylus, you may want to verify that it will work for the Doodling designs templates, I would not recommend a stylus that is narrow, you tend to get to much wiggle in the design.
I will have more information soon on the stylus.

Please continue to check back for more information on the lending library, I will be posting pictures of the stylus and the current library inventory soon!
Thank you for stopping by!
